Civil Engineer

• Mr. Lorenz holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

• Mr. Lorenz is an ICS Certified Building Inspector and Professional Planner in the state of New Jersey.

• Mr. Lorenz’s professional experience includes forensic engineering investigation and evaluation of design and construction elements related to civil engineering and construction safety engineering, including: walkways, stairways, roadways, roofs and building construction. His work also includes civil engineering and safety analyses related to OSHA and building code compliance, and accident evaluation cause and origin analysis.

• Prior to joining AEL Mr. Lorenz served as a Designer, Senior Designer, Chief Engineer, Project Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer and Director of Operations for various engineering and construction firms in the New Jersey area. His work included the supervision of construction management, estimating and design including site utilities and building construction, coordination of subcontractors, preparation of project parameters, bidding and estimating.  Mr. Lorenz has also developed site plans and subdivisions including storm sewer systems, detention basins, sanitary sewer, grading, sidewalks, roadway alignment; and served as an Assistant Resident Engineer on a multi-million dollar heavy/highway construction project to the New Jersey Highway Authority including utility installation, roadway and building construction, concrete and earth moving/fill operations. As a Chief Engineer, Mr. Lorenz supervised the design and permitting for sludge management/composting and wastewater projects, site plans and subdivision design and permitting on the local, county and state levels, UST permitting and compliance, Phase I environmental site assessments, ECRA compliance.
