Mr. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, North Carolina and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi.

Mr. Scott is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Concrete Institute and the International Code Council (ICC). Mr. Scott is an ICC Certified Residential Building Inspector, and an ICC Residential Mechanical Inspector.

Mr. Scott is a voting member of the ASME STS-1 Steel Stack Committee, ACI 307 Concrete Chimney Committee, and a participant of the ACI 313 Concrete Silo Committee, CICIND Int’l Committee for Industrial Chimneys and the ICCT Int’l Conference on Industrial Chimneys and Cooling Towers.

Mr. Scott’s professional experience includes forensic engineering investigations and evaluations of design and construction elements respecting civil and safety engineering matters including walkways, stairways, scaffolds and building construction, civil and safety engineering analyses related to OSHA and building code compliance and accident evaluation cause and origin analysis.

Prior to joining AEL Mr. Scott served as a Senior Project Engineer, Manager of Engineering and an Air Quality Control Systems Engineering Manager. His work included design and construction of power, food and consumer product facilities, concrete, wood, fiberglass, aluminum and steel design, drainage utilities, scaffolding, ladders, steel stacks, concrete chimneys, concrete silos, and mechanical and natural draft cooling towers.
