Mr. Parkin holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Parkin is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and is an ICC Certified Residential Building Inspector, an ICC Residential Mechanical Inspector, an ICC Certified Mechanical Inspector and an ICC Certified Commercial Mechanical Inspector. He is also an RCS Mechanical Inspector in New Jersey and a Residential Mechanical Inspector in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Parkin’s professional experience includes forensic engineering investigations and evaluations of product/equipment designs relating to mechanical engineering and safety engineering. He has conducted engineering evaluations of the design, construction and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems. Mr. Parkin has performed analysis of equipment design, maintenance and work practices for conformance with applicable codes, safety standards (OSHA, ANSI, SAE, ASME, ASTM, etc.) and accepted customs and practices in industry.

Prior to joining AEL Mr. Parkin served as a Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer and Application Engineer for various engineering firms in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania area with his work including development of fluid control devices and design and evaluation of gas & water distribution systems.
