Mr. Meyer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University, the College of Engineering, New Brunswick, NJ and a Master of Science in Engineering Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and New York.

Mr. Meyer is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), New Jersey Association of Accident Reconstructionist (NJAAR) and National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI). Mr. Meyer is a Mechanical Inspector – 1 and 2 Family, Building Inspector- RCS and Elevator Inspector in New Jersey.

Mr. Meyer’s professional experience includes forensic engineering investigation and evaluation of design and construction elements related to mechanical and safety engineering, including: performance of engineering projects related to safety of equipment and facility design; performance studies and calculations, equipment evaluation, testing and failure analysis, accident investigation analysis and reconstruction; analysis of equipment design, maintenance and work practices for conformance with applicable codes, safety standards and accepted engineering and design practice. Areas of concentration include but are not limited to: motor vehicles, trucking/freight hauling, material handling (industrial lift trucks), mobile construction equipment, mechanical systems, bicycles, motorcycles and other mobile transportation equipment, elevators/escalators and power doors/automatic entrance systems.

Prior to joining AEL Mr. Meyer served as a Performance Engineer, Performance Operability and Controls Engineer, and Project Engineer for various companies in the New Jersey and Connecticut area. His work included engine development testing, field service problem investigations and analysis, development and operation of gas turbine performance simulations. He managed projects involving energy system planning, energy tariff development, economic analysis, feasibility studies and technical audits for international clients.
